Las Bardenas Reales

This is Las Bardenas Reales, a natural park in Navarre, Spain, located not far from Tudela.  This is a semi-desert dry terrain known as badlands.  There's a lot of soft sedimentary rock and clay-rich soils which have been eroded by wind and water, creating fantastic angles and formations.

Your desert pics are really neat. I never expect the different climates and terains that Spain has. Really cool. Hope you had a great time on your Southern Spain vacation. We miss you here.
